So many things I would like to comment on but first stinging nettles…turning the sting of a nettle into a treat to be savored…beautiful. Love it & Love Love you…and your words.

You’re so kind. Thanks, Aunt Julie. Would love to cook a nettle feast for you. :)

I love the show of delights! I listed to Ross Gays whole book after this episode, and I can't recommend it enough - the way he reads it is so joyful and fun. A related listen is Alie Ward's Awesomeology Episode.

Ohhhh I love an audio book recommendation. I’m on the waitlist for The Book of Delights at the library but I’m going to download the audio book now. Thanks! And I’ll definitely give a listen to that Awesomeology episode. The name alone is, ummm, awesome!

I am such a winter person, I sometimes I have a hard time remembering to be okay with the warming days (though February was below normal here, so I have been very content with the weather lately). I do find myself delighting in every fresh bud I see on a tree. I am hoping this new season ushers in a reminder to find the new, find the pieces coming alive within myself too.

Ohhhhh I love that last sentence/hope/prayer. I find spring to bring in such creative and renewed energy.

The changing seasons, indeed, don't happen in a instant. Your writing reminds me that this is a transitional time of year and that progress and change comes slowly and when the time is right. The natural world is a mirror to human existence and if we are paying attention, can inspire our own growth. Beautiful, inspiring words :)

Thank you so much, Ashley. Your comment was such a sweet encouragement to me. It really is a mirror. I’m so grateful for the daily lessons I receive from the natural world.
